Rockstar Games has moved Grand Theft Auto VI into its final pre-release stretch, publishing what it calls the game's launch trailer on October 15. The official site continues to list November 19, 2026 as the release date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The newest footage returns attention to Jason and Lucia, the central pair in a story set across Vice City and the wider fictional state of Leonida. Rockstar describes them as being pulled into a criminal conspiracy after a job goes wrong.

What is confirmed

The November date and the two console platforms appear on Rockstar's own product page. The company has also opened pre-orders and published a longer look at the game, along with information about its soundtrack and in-game radio stations.

Rockstar's current official material does not list a PC release date. Claims about other platforms or unannounced features should therefore be treated separately from confirmed information.

Why the final weeks matter

The launch trailer is a meaningful marketing milestone, but practical details—download size, pre-load timing and review availability—can still change. News Polite will distinguish official announcements from reports and online speculation as release day approaches.
